So it has been roughly a month since the last episode, and for that I ask forgiveness. Steve and I were unable to physically unite and combine our powers of worthlessness into a podcast. However, we’ve come to you now with our own personal preferences and observations regarding the games to be released over the next few months by Nintendo.

Steve’s early impressions come as a form of vindication to a longtime Nintendo fan as myself. Being blitzed with new trailers and information in such an efficient manner, it’s a lot easier to understand the joys of how Nintendo communicates with its fans and ensures something for everyone. Unlike myself, where I can rely upon my own (admittedly weak) willpower to resist buying every little thing that’s remotely compelling, Steve has to deal with his excitable children that each lacks an understanding of the finite supply of money.

Of course, the real joy to these podcasts are listening to our diversions. So just as the Nintendo Direct offers a little something for everyone, hopefully this episode will provide something neat for you, too.

You can listen to Steve and I chatter on about I Am Setsuna in our 27th episode from last March. If you’d like to dive even deeper into my enjoyment of Tokyo RPG Factory’s past games, then look no further than Sad Setsunas in Snow, The Mechanics of I Am Setsuna, my I Am Setsuna analysis, and my Lost Sphear analysis.

Anything you liked in Nintendo’s February Direct? Send us an e-mail with your thoughts, or reach out to me on Twitter, and maybe we’ll read them on the show.

Opening theme music by my buddy Brandon, a.k.a. Fallen Prophecy.
